Kareena Kapoor has reprised her ‘Chameli’ character in Talaash. She is playing a sex worker, yet again. According to Kareena, this character is one amongst her most sensitive and powerful.
“I play a prostitute, who is kind of an escort. It`s a very deep character. I have hopefully achieved a sensitive performance. It`s by far one of my most sensitive performances, I believe,” Kareena told reporters.
However, her role in Talaash is completely different from that of the character she played in Chameli.
” `Chameli` was totally different. It was very raw. The lingo and the language, body language and the outfit – everything was different. Here from head to toe, the performance, and everything is different,” she said.
“I don`t look at the project with commercial aspect. I wanted to work with Reema (Kagti) and wanted to work with Aamir again. I loved the role. This is one of the most powerful roles that I have done,” she said.
Kareena added, “Reema comes across as a very strong director and a strong personality, but when you get to know her, she is a very sensitive girl and that is what she has brought about in her actors and in her film.”
