T-10 cricket tourney begins in Fremont

FREMONT, CA: Cricket – The 2nd most watched sport in the world has started at Fremont’s Cricket Ground at Lake Elizabeth 4000 Paseo Padre Pkwy. Fremont’s first T-10 Cricket Tournament features eight Northern California teams plus a Team Pakistan vs. Team India contest, and runs from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Thousands of cricket fans were in attendance along with elected officials to watch this event organized by Salim Mastan along with the Northern California Cricket Association and the Bay Area Cricket Alliance. The tournament is sponsored by Dr. Raj Salwan. The event caterers will be Fremont restaurant favorites Mirchi Restaurant, Chutney Restaurant, Zam Zam Pista House, Shalimar Restaurant, Khan Tandori & Curry Restaurant. There will also be music and entertainment during the event.IMG 6463

The local teams playing in the Tournament include: All Stars Lions, Bay Area Braves, UC Warriors, Indus CC, Santa Clara CC, Sunnyvale CC, Cougars CC and Stanford CC.
