NEW YORK: The Telugu Association of Greater Boston celebrated its silver jubilee on the Oct 30 at the Aleppo Shriner’s Auditorium, Wilmington, MA in the presence of more than 2200 audience.
US Senator Scott Brown and Lt. Governor Timothy P Murray graced the occasion with their presence.
The event started off with ‘Sita Rama Kalyanam’ conducted by priests attached to the Jeeyar Education Trust.
The day-long programs included classical dance performances, games promoting Telugu culture, stand-up comic routines, felicitation of both the local talent as well as that invited from India, and a musical extravaganza featuring popular Telugu singers from India.
