Temple planned in England’s Milton Keynes

MILTON KEYNES, England: The Tattenhoe ward of Milton Keynes borough in Buckinghamshire county, southeastern England, will soon have a Hindu temple, complete with cultural and community hall, following the acquisition of land and clearance from local authorities

The proposed temple organizers have secured land spread over 894 square meters area on two floors. The planning application was submitted to the Milton Keynes Council March 12, according to reports.

Milton Keynes one of the fastest growing centers in the UK is home to over 22 million trees and shrubs, the Peace Pagoda, and public sculpture The Concrete Cows. Parks, a lake and green spaces cover about 25 per cent of its area. Various bands were formed here and prominent people associated with the place are Olympian Greg Rutherford, actor Kevin Whately. Peter Marland is Leader of Milton Keynes Council, while Michael Bracey is its Chief Executive.
