The Singapore Promise  is holding its second Your Singapore Experience contest   (http://www.your-singapore-experience.sg), which offers the  opportunity to win a customized trip to Singapore and experience  everything the city state has to offer.

The global contest from 6 January to 5 April gives non-Singaporeans and non-Singapore Permanent Residents residing abroad a special opportunity to win a five day / four night trip to Singapore that is customized to suit your areas of interest. Among the highlights are meetings with leading personalities in selected fields, while enjoying a truly authentic experience of Singapore.

Each winner is entitled to bring a partner and will get to experience various aspects of living, studying, working and playing in Singapore. Accommodation, transport and meals according to the customized itinerary will also be covered by the organizer.

The Contest aims to deepen non-Singaporeans' impressions of Singapore beyond the country's tourist attractions and to expose them to Singapore's modern and dynamically changing culture and landscape.

One of the winners from the first 'Your Singapore Experience Contest'  in 2007 came from the United States. Michael Lekich, a 27 year-old English tutor, who is currently based in Manhattan, New York, says this about his experience: "Singaporeans are very passionate about their jobs. There seems to be a symbiotic relationship between people and country. They give something to the country while working, and yet at the same time, Singapore gives something back to them by giving them the space to pursue their dreams.
'The places we have visited have also helped us understand that while Singaporeans are working on their future, they also do not forget their past.

There are just so many opportunities waiting to be  explored in Singapore 'the food, the culture, the environment, which  is tropical and refreshing, and the architecture."The Contest comprises two components.

The first consists of an interactive game  with eight (8) multiple choice questions, while the second portion consists of an open-ended question which requires Contestants to provide a short statement of no more than 100 words on why they would  like to visit Singapore.

The winner will win a pair of return air tickets to Singapore on Singapore Airlines or tickets of equivalent value. Accommodation will be provided for four (4) nights at a Singapore hotel with a four-star (or equivalent) rating, inclusive of airport transfers and daily breakfasts. A customized itinerary including meetings with up to two prominent Singapore personalities, will be developed based on the  winner's indicated areas of interest. Transport and meals as per the itinerary will also be covered by the organizer.
