CHICAGO: US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has offered her thanks to Hina Trivedi, a former president of Federation of Indian Associations, and other Chicagoland supporters – Dr Bharat Barai, Vinesh Virani, Nirav Patel, Bawiwnder Singh – for their support for getting her re-elected from Hawaii.

In a communication she has expressed her gratitude and has offered to work hard to achieve her agenda. Her statement says, “With your help and support, the people of Hawai have re-elected me to serve as their representative in Congress.

I’m honored to have earned their trust and confidence, once again. The last two years have been busy, and very rewarding, as I saw what can be accomplished when we bring people together, around our common purpose – doing our very best to be of service to others.

In a short recorded message, she says, “Thank you for your steadfast commitment – you helped make it possible for me to continue working to serve the people of our nation. The responsibility of serving you in Congress weighs very heavily upon my heart. There are many great challenges that we face; thank you for standing with me as we take on these challenges.

I want you to know that my door is always open, and I look forward to continue working with you in the months and years ahead. I remain grateful for all that you do, and for allowing me the opportunity to continue this service.”
