Two honored for organizing Navratra

Two prominent community activists and business owners – Gurbachan Kaur and Nirmal Shewakramani – were honored by members of the community during the culmination of nine days Navratra celebrations at India Town, on Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Devon Avenue) last week. The honoring was with the presentation of Silver Bowl by Premaben and Snehlata Shah.

It was for their active role in organizing the nine Navratra festival and hosting ten days of Devon Ka Raja Lord Ganesh festivities. Both firsts for the Indian community.

Gurbachan Kaur is the founder president of Hindi Lovers Club. Nirmal Shewakramani is a successful businessman with chain of stores on Devon Ave.
