Vedic Center celebrates Ram Navmi with gusto

CHICAGO: The Vedic Day Care Center, a pre-school and kindergarten educational facility in Chicago, celebrated its annual Ram Navmi function on Sunday April 24.

Approximately 100 people attended the program. The children of the Vedic Day Care Center recited Bhagavad Gita slokas, sang nursery songs and performed folk dances. To accompany this extravagant display put on by the children was a play based on Lord Ram’s pastime.

The director of the Center, Vrashabh Das, briefly enlightened the crowd on the progress of the facility and gave a lecture on the significance of Ram Navmi. He said that the Day Care Center is really appreciative of the generous donations made by the parents of the children. They were honored on the stage to show the gratitude of the Day Care.

Amongst the many who financially supported the Center are Dr. C.M. Modi, Dr. Agarwal, Navin Mehta, Kalpesh Patel, Rupal Trivedi, Ashok Gandhi. The Prasad was sponsored by Sukadia Restaurant.
Vrishabh thanked all of them for their support and sponsorship. The Vedic Day Care seeks to strive towards improving the children’s education by broadening their horizon.
