MILPITAS, CA: Veterans of India (VOI) is an informal organization of ex military officers of India’s armed forces (Army, Navy & Air Force) in San Francisco Bay Area & surrounding communities. It was founded by Col Rupinder Singh, PhD. in the year 1999. Over the years, participation of this fraternity has grown exponentially. The social events of this association are held approximately once a quarter with quality musical & dance programs.
Alka Bhatnagar who is highly accomplished, multifaceted Bollywood singer is a part of VOI fraternity.
She was honored recently by VOI at Milan Restaurant, Milpitas, CA on her receipt of very prestigious UP “Ratna Award ” in deep appreciation of her outstanding, dedicated service to community through music, art & culture.
