West Delhi girl Sakshi Maggo will be seen debuting in Firoz A Nadiadwala’s ‘Welcome Back’. The movie, which is a sequel of the 2007 hit ‘Welcome’, will be directed by Anees Bazmi. ‘Welcome Back’ also stars John Abraham, Shruti Hassan, Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar.
At heart, Sakshi says, “I’m a typical West Delhi girl. My parents live in Subhash Nagar. I did my schooling from SKV and after that, I completed my graduation from Delhi University. I started my career as a model but after some time, I got bored and realized that modeling doesn’t have much scope. So I shifted to Mumbai to try my luck in Bollywood,” she says.
For Sakshi, hard work matters more than the presence of a godfather. “I don’t believe that you need a godfather to make a mark in Bollywood. I had no formal training in acting and I don’t come from a filmi background, but that didn’t stop me getting into Bollywood. It’s not a cakewalk but I am lucky to get this opportunity,” says Sakshi.
