Akshaj shines on digital billboards across Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA: Picture of 13 year of Akshaj Mehta, believed to be the youngest Indian American Author, are now on Digital Billboards across Sacramento and Folsom city. Akshaj has been selected to receive the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award by Association of Fundraising Professionals – California Capital Chapter, on National Philanthropy Day.

Akshaj is an 8th grader studying in Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep Middle School in Sacramento. He has been writing since the age of 4. He published his first book Super Mouse in 2014 and since then has written 5 books – the proceeds of which are all donated to local children’s charities including Reading Partners Sacramento and Stanford Settlement.

When he’s not serving as the Sci-Tech kid’s editor for Amazing Kids magazine, writing for California Kids, or practicing the piano, Akshaj spends his time planning book, blanket, and food drives. National Philanthropy Day’s  “Youth in Philanthropy” award will join his ever-growing list of accolades, including American Red Cross “Youth Hero of the Year,” KFBK Hometown Hero, NFactor 2016 and 2018, and Natomas Unified School District Vision Award 2016 and 2018.
