GADSDEN AL: First United Methodist Church (FUMC) in Gadsden (Alabama) is offering free yoga classes as a “Gift to Gadsden”.
Tagline of FUMC includes: “Changing Lives by…Serving People and Giving Hope”. Sam Hayes and Andy Yarnell are Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor respectively.
Yoga, referred as “a living fossil”, was a mental and physical discipline, for everybody to share and benefit from, whose traces went back to around 2,000 BCE to Indus Valley civilization, said Rajan Zed, President of Universal Society of Hinduism.
Welcoming FUMC for offering free yoga classes, Rajan urged all the Alabama public schools to introduce multi-beneficial yoga programs in their curriculums.
