Anna speaks to Mamata over phone; to meet in DelhiKOLKATA: Anti-graft activist Anna Hazare has spoken over telephone to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the two during a meeting next week in Delhi would draw up strategy for campaigning in the Lok Sabha polls.

“This will include focusing on messaging and a detailed campaign strategy for around ten targeted states,” TMC leader Derek O’Brien, MP, told PTI today.

“This is the opening chapter of what promises to be an enduring relationship of two personalities who are aligned on the question of simplicity and for the common cause to work for the people,” the TMC leader said.

The anti-graft activist had called up the Trinamool Congress supremo yesterday.

Referring to praise for the chief minister by Magsaysay award winner Bengali novelist Mahasweta Devi he said “Annaji endorses her warmly.”

Hazare had yesterday praised the Trinamool Congress chief as a ‘ray of hope’ and said he will meet her in Delhi and campaign for TMC candidates all over the country.–PTI
