Despite a dream debut with big and highly coveted Bollywood personalities like Ranbir Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali in the successful Rockstar, Nargis Fakhri hasn’t gained much- either in terms of film offers or praise for her acting. Not many producers have been forthcoming to offer Nargis a role. The film that worked wonders for the lead actor, did precious little for the leading lady’s career.
According to Mumbai Mirror, the three film-deal that Nargis had reportedly signed with Akshay Kumar’s production house Hari Om Productions even before her first film released, seems to have been called off as well. However, the one-film-wonder has another option in the pipeline –television. “I want to help people, be of some service, you know. Maybe become like Oprah (Winfrey) someday,” she says.
Though some may think that television is her backup plan, Imtiaz Ali still swears by her talent.
