Bengali movie club screens Ahare Mon

CHICAGO: Chhobighar is a Bengali movie club initiative in Chicago, envisioned and formed by local Bengali movie enthusiasts. It is a nonprofit endeavor to create the awareness of contemporary Bengali films, and promote and nurture the rich cultural heritage of movies from Bengal.

The Bengali movie lovers of Chicago are about to experience the magic of latest Bengali cinemas on big screen. To the Bengali community of Chicagoland, it is truly a proud moment as Chhobighar is putting every effort to make their long cherished dream a reality.

The journey begins with the screening of “Ahare Mon”, a widely acclaimed recent release from Tollywood, the tinsel town of Bengali movies. The movie was screened on August 25 at Hollywood Palms Cinema in Naperville, IL.

The response was overwhelming from the movie lovers of Chicago and the screening of the film was a sold affair.

Ahare Mon is a film directed by Pratim D. Gupta and stars Adil Hussain, Anjan Dutt, Mamata Shankar, Ritwick Chakraborty, Paoli Dam, Parno Mittra and Chitrangada Chakraborty.  A heartwarming collage of inter-connected love stories, the film is a romantic drama that revolves around people who are otherwise forbidden to fall in love.
