NORWALK, California: American Independence Day will be celebrated along with a seminar July 4 at the Joy of Sharing Community Center (Sanatan Dharma Temple), 15311 Pioneer Blvd, Norwalk. Those want to participate are encouraged to bring members of their family and friends.
Registration for the 90-minute seminar shall open at 10.30 a.m. and the seminar shall start at 11 a.m. July 4. Lunch fee of $15 will be waived if registered is done by 11 a.m.

The subjects that will come be addressed in the seminar will include how Americans got their independence from the British, and whether they waged any war and the sacrifices they made.
It will also address questions as to when Indians started coming to the US, what kind of institutionalized racism, bigotry and discrimination they faced from American people, why Indians waged a long struggle for citizenship rights in a free America and the contributions they made to their adopted land.
