Dance performance by differently-abled children

ATT00087Mentally Challenged “DIVYANG” children’s residential School of Asmita Vikas Kendra, of Bharuch, Gujarat has performed a fantastic cultural dance on “Social Justice Day for disadvantaged population” at Bharuch.

Supreme Court Justice Mukesh Shah and the other judges from the state of Gujarat were present at the event. Children welcomed all VIPs and guest by performing traditional prayer geet (song).

December 3 is dedicated a World disabled day by the international organization. These children shared the story of the river Narmada and performed a cultural drama on Mahatama Gandhi’s ideology. Union minister Thawar Chand Gahlot and district collector M D Modia were also present at the event.

Our yoga teacher, Mrs. Avani Pandya(volunteer), who stood #1 in the national competition of yoga in 1998, is teaching our children all techniques of yoga and meditation which has improved the overall functions of our children. We also have professional Bharat Natyam teacher, Mrs Vatsa Patel (volunteer) who continuously teach these children to improve their art of dance performance. The audience applauds for these children.

Ten children namely, Mehta Rudra, Parmar Akshaya, Vasava Kinjal, Yesha Patel, Vyas Hirali, Vasava Prakas, Patel Vikas, and Patel Gopi participated along with their three teachers, Trivedi Manisha, Parekh Shilpa and Bhatt Piyush, choreographer Patel Vatsa and yoga teacher Pandya Avani. These team has worked very hard.

ATT00069This school has presently 92 Mentally Challenged children from socially and economically disadvantaged population of Gujarat State. Many children in the state do not get advantaged of this education. Your support and encouragement could change the lives of many children.
