Akshay Kumar has been doing films with a message and his next, ‘Mission Mangal’, is no less inspiring. Touted to be India’s first space film, it revolves around India’s Mars mission. But what’s most interesting is, the film has five leading ladies — Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Nitya Menen.
While most heroes would think twice before being part of a heroine-centric film, Akshay has no such inhibitions. Talking to a daily, the actor said that the film’s script demanded that the women be ahead. Calling the five actresses the real heroes of the film, he said he has no shame in doing a film that is led by women.
All praise for the actresses, he said he is happy that the girls are not bothered about ‘Mission Mangal’ being a multi-heroine project. He doesn’t think five heroes would come together for a movie like this.
