KOLKATA: Gourmet Passport, a premium restaurants membership programme available on foodtech platform Dineout, sees a sharp growth in the coming years and expects competition will only help spreading sector to grow.

“We hope to close 2018-19 with a Rs 15-18 crore revenue from membership sales. We are expecting a sharp growth in the years to come. We have already decided to foray into three more cities from 8 cities now,” Gourmet Passport chairman and mentor Rocky Mohan said Tuesday.
He said there is no commission from the restaurants for channelising business.

“Gourmet Passport is available independently and also on Dineout platform having a huge reach. Relationship with Dineout is of a channel partner,” Mohan said.
Speaking about competition like Zomato Gold offering similar membership programme, Dineout founder and CEO Ankit Mehrotra said, “Competition will help growing awareness among diners and helping the sector to grow.”

Gourmet Passport is targeting premium restaurants and hotels for tieups.
The service is now available in 8 cities – Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad and Chennai besides Kolkata.
The brand will launch service in Goa, Chandigarh and Jaipur by June. PTI
