Illinois Secretary of State endorses Raja for Congress

CHICAGO: Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White is endorsing Raja Krishnamoorthi in this year’s open-seat race in the 8th Congressional District of Illinois that includes west and northwest Chicago suburbs. Secretary of State White is one of the most popular elected officials in the State of Illinois.

“I know Raja Krishnamoorthi is the best choice for voters because Raja has the experience and vision needed to stand up for middle-class Americans,” White said. “In my tenure as Secretary of State, I have seen the qualities that make for a successful member of Con

gress, and I know Raja meets and exceeds those qualifications with his remarkable combination of public and private sector experience.”

“I am thrilled to have the support of Jesse White, who is a public servant with tremendous popularity,” Krishnamoorthi said of the endorsement. “I am fortunate to have his support and guidance moving forward. Jesse White’s commitment to helping young kids get on the path to success through the Jesse White Tumbling Team is an inspiration.”

Raja Krishnamoorthi was on Devon Avenue, the heart of mini India Town in Chicago, and was greeted by a number of community activists and businessmen. Raja has unequivocal support of Indian, Pakistani Bangladeshi and Nepali communities in Chicago land.

The son of immigrants, Raja currently serves as president of Sivananthan Labs and Episolar, Inc., small businesses that sell products in the national security and renewable energy industries.

He is a co-founder of InSPIRE, a non-profit organization that provides training to Illinois students and veterans in solar technology, and was formerly Vice-Chairman of the Illinois Innovation Council, whose mission is to promote innovative technologies that support economic growth and job creation in Illinois.
