Kiran’s painting to be displayed at Le Louvre

NEW DELHI: Kiran Soni Gupta, a senior bureaucrat from Rajasthan and a versatile artist, has established new heights in the field of visual arts. She is the first artist from Rajasthan who will get the honor to share her artwork at the most coveted platform, Le Louvre, which is one of the world’s largest museums, the most visited art museum in the world and a historic monument. It is a central landmark of Paris, France.
Her painting entitled “Poojatime” has been selected for display at Le Louvre. Societe Nationale Des Beaux Arts has selected her artwork for a very prestigious exposition at Louvre. The exposition shall be from Dec 13th to 16th.
Kiran has been recently honored with the “Nari Prathibha Samman” and was conferred with the” Kala Samridhi Award in 2010,” Artist of the Year 2009″ and “Special Achiever Award 2009”. She was also given the “Kala Shiromani Award” in 2008. One of her paintings on the ‘Famine’ depicting its impact on women and children in India won the National Award in 2003.
The artist has held more than two dozen solo art shows in major cities in India and in foreign countries including New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Toronto, Tehran, Kandy, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Jaipur and Naggar in Kulu.
