‘Meri behna hai’ stars for Artesia festival

ARTESIA: Viren and Jeevika Vadhera, the lead pair of the very popular prime-time show on Star ‘ek hazaaron mein meri behna hai’ are confirmed to attend and shop at the Artesia Shopping Festival, this December.
The festival will be held on the famous Pioneer Blvd in Artesia on December 8 and 9, where participating merchants will offer deep discounts on their wares during the two-day extravaganza. More than 50 merchants on the street have signed up for the discount program that promises to attract shoppers from across the Southern California region and beyond.
Star Plus, the leading South Asian Television Channel, is helping to create the awareness and publicity for the festival with hundreds of commercials and video vignettes on their network of channels. They will also be flying down popular Soap Stars – Viren and Jeevika Vadhera for the festival providing festival-goers an opportunity to meet and greet with their favorite personalities.
“This event reiterates Star Network’s commitment to the local community, i.e. our viewers; it is also our way of expressing gratitude to the small business advertisers who have brought tremendous value to the general entertainment space with their support. We have been an integral part of such an event in New Jersey and are pleased to nurture the growth of this new initiative in the Los Angeles area” said M K Srinivasan, SVP-North America, Star Network.
Powered by entertainment platform Dish Network, the festival promises to be a grand success and a worthwhile venture for all involved.
“I believe this is a great opportunity for Artesia because it will attract more people to our business community”, Artesia Mayor John P. Lyon said. He also added “I strongly urge smart shoppers to keep the dates of Saturday, December 8 and Sunday December 9 in mind. It might not be until another year before an opportunity like this arises again on Pioneer Blvd.”
The festival is being organized by Touchdown Media, after the grand success of the Oak Tree Shopping Festival in New Jersey. “The idea is to bring in all shoppers and help boost the sales and economy while providing them with star attractions and deep discounts,” said Rahul Walia, Founder of the festival franchise.
This event will be free to attend and open to the public December 8 and December 9, 1pm – 7pm.
The city of Artesia and the council have helped arrange the logistics, security and permits for the festival and are participating sponsors helping the bustling shopping district on Pioneer Blvd.
The festival offers 30% to 50% discount on merchandise in various trades like jewelry, fashion, appliances and more.
