PHAGWARA: The Punjabi version of social reformer and ex-MP Avinash Rai Khanna’s popular book ‘Samaj Chintan’ was released at the Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of Lovely Professional University (LPU).

Former Chief Secretary of Punjab government Sarvesh Kaushal, Lovely Group chairman Ramesh Mittal, LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal, renowned journalist and writer Jatinder Pannu and Meenakshi Khanna unveiled the Punjabi ersion of the Book. Focused on improving the basic fabric of the society, this 192-page book has nine sections and 52 chapters for all classes of readers, irrespective of their caste, creed or culture.

Former Member of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha of India, Avinash Rai Khanna is national vice- president of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and party In-charge of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Goa. 

Speaking on the occasion, Sarvesh Kaushal appreciated the sincere effort of Khanna in collecting his valuable thoughts based on real life experiences. He said that this book awakens its readers and suggests solutions to the diverse problems. He also said that usually books are found with more thoughts and pages, but this is less in content and pages and more in solution providing thoughts.

“Its each and every chapter is like a brain storming session,” Kaushal stated. Chancellor Ashok Mittal said that Khanna has all elements to bring about a transformation in the society. He thanked Khanna for choosing LPU for the launch of his book.

Journalist Jatinder Pannu called upon all people to rise above petty politics and stand united to lead the country to the top in the world.Speaking about the book, Khanna said that the book contains his chosen life experiences and is primarily focused on improving the basic fabric of the society. The social worker and reformer holds that transformation in the society from better to the best is the duty of one and all. He is of the view that only society is responsible for creating problems and society itself has to provide befitting solutions.

“We ourselves should come forward to seek solutions,” he said. 

He also called for inclusion of the lessons of fundamental rights in the syllabi of each and every educational institution. He called for creation of groups for save water, electricity, environment and more. He asked all to come forward and lead the country to be at the top in the world.

The book is published by the Prabhat Publishers of Delhi and each of its parts has touched the imperative problems with their solutions from those of the slum dwellers, homeless, physically and mentally challenged children, orphans, and destitute people to broken marriages, drug addiction in the youth, de-addiction and rehabilitation in the main stream and more.
