RENO: Indian community activist, Rajan Zed was honored recently with a certificate by City of Reno Police Chief Steve Pitts in Nevada for interfaith interactions.

Chief’s Certificate of Appreciation, signed by Steve Pitts with Reno Police Department seal in the background, was presented to Rajan Zed, President of Universal Society of Hinduism.

It states : “For his years of support to Reno Police Department and the City of Reno as a community, Rajan has been instrumental in the coordination and collaboration of interfaith interactions and discussions for years in our community and this dialogue has promoted transparent, safe and open environment to discuss many issues our community faces and to propose solutions. Rajan embraces and promotes the Reno Police Department values of Respect, Integrity, Fairness and Service, and has been instrumental in our Vision to be a Model of Policing Excellence.

“Rajan has taken up interfaith, religion, environment and other causes all over the world.

He has read opening prayers in United States Senate, various state senates and houses of representatives, counties and city councils all over USA. He prominently appeared in a recently released documentary on religion titled “Unresolvable?”
