SAN FRANCISCO: The Sixth Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace this year is being held under the theme of “The World’s Call for Peace, Urging Support for the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War” with various peace campaigns happening around the globe through the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW). One such event was held in front of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco May 26 where Sant Nirankari Mission (SNM) was invited by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) to participate in a peace walk.

SNM is associated with HWPL Organisation for more than three years and participates in their monthly assembly for inter-religious dialogues of scriptures.IMG 20190530 WA0067

The event was attended primarily by youth from various organizations. SNM delegate Narinder Pal Singh (Pali Noor) addressed the participating youth from various organizations to mark the start of the procession. During the address, SNM’s ideology of newness was emphasized and many key slogans of the mission like “Peace, not Pieces“, “Know One, Believe in one and Be One”, “Religion Unites, Never Divides”, and “Love is Living” were echoed.

As a follow-up to this event, Sant Nirankari Oneness Center Tracy, Northern California, undertook a visit to a disaster relief event organized by the Church of Scientology Ministers of Silicon Valley. Rev. Cleve Carlson, who led the event, invited SNM to share the platform with HWPL, other spiritual leaders, San Jose City Council Member Rev. Johnny Khamis and many other dignitaries and distinguished guests.

SNM member Pali Noor addressed the gathering and expressed the necessity of everyone coming together and providing disaster relief to needy. At the same time,20190601-223710 he said that visionary saints like Baba Hardev Singh provided a way out to cut down man-made disasters by working on our inner self.

The SNM is essentially a spiritual movement. Its principal commitment to its followers is to make their minds conscious of the eternal reality and unite their soul with the creator, the formless god. The Mission believes that ignorance and superstition are the biggest obstacles in man’s path to real progress and happiness. The narrow-mindedness, hatred and pride brooded by them are the most vicious source of trouble for mankind. The Mission endeavours to remove the same by making spiritual enlightenment within the reach of every man and woman – young or old, rich or poor, high or low, educated or illiterate, faith or culture, and whatever the state or the nation.
