Richa Chadha has signed a role for the film Sarabjit, which is directed by Mary Kom famed director Omung Kumar. The Fukrey actress will be seen essaying the role of actor Randeep Hooda’s wife in the upcoming biopic, which is said to be based on the Indian who died in a Pakistani jail.
The film is based on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan, was sentenced to death. He was attacked by inmates at a prison in Lahore in April 2013, and died a few days later.
The film also features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who will be playing the role of Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur.
