Sayantan wins Voice of Bay Area 2016

MILPITAS, CA: After an exciting season that witnessed a battle between the Bay Area’s most talented singers, Voice of Bay Area 2016 ended with a nail-biting finish on September 25 at Jain Temple, Milpitas. Voice of Bay area was organized by Javanika Entertainment, to hunt for the best singing talent in Bay Area and is considered a prestigious and most coveted competition in Silicon Valley.

Sayantan Bhattacharya, the super-talented from Campbell, has won VOBA 2016. He walked away with the MG Shah trophy at the show’s grand finale for Individual performance, Audience Choice & Group Performance. Sayantan hails from a musical family of West Bengal, India. He started training in classical vocals at the tender age of 5.

His mother Srimati Subhra Bhattacherya and father Sri Surja Kanta Bhattacherya were both involved in Rabindra Sangeet. His musical training started under the tutelage of Dilip Das, Pradeep Karmakar, Bornali Chatterjee and Anirudha Bhattacharya of Kolkata.

He holds Masters in Indian Classical Vocal from Rabindra Bharti University. He moved to Bay Area in October 2015, and would love to give joy of his music to Bay Area music lovers. He is extremely talented and mesmerizes the audience through his flawless rendition.

Madhuvanti Bhinde, Harjit Mehndi, Praveen Chadha, Parminder Guri, Geetesh Iyer, Dhananjay Kulkarni, Sameer Khera were the esteemed panel of judges for the evening which was sponsored by Dharma Civilization Foundation.
