Sikh Sangat in Boston hosts graduation celebration

BOSTON: A graduation celebration langar was held at the Gurdwara Sikh Sangat Boston, Everett, Massachusetts, June 9 with over 500 members, invitees and guests from across the greater Boston area in attendance.
G.S. Paul hosted the event as part of to appreciating the achievement of his grandson. Araaish Paul, who graduated from Exeter Philip Academy, New Hampshire, in May this year.
During the celebration, soothing, and enlightening kirtans were sung by Baljit Singh, Moti Singh, and Inder Preet Singh. A free community meal in the form of Maha Prasadam was served to all the devotees after the service.Boston sikh kirtan

The Sikh Sangat Society of Boston was founded in December 2005. In February 2012, they successfully moved to a larger, permanent location in Everett that included a separate langar (community meal) hall, a larger kitchen, classrooms for students, and apartments for visitors. The temple building with a large garage on the ground floor has a beautiful blue and yellow sign outside of the building, and a yellow flag called Nishan Sahib that flies high over the building. The langar hall and room for worship are located on the second floor. The gurdwara is open to all people irrespective of their faith, gender, or race.
The Sikh Sangat Society has a management committee which organizes events, learning Punjabi and Gurmat and kirtan.The main services are held on Sundays, but there are other ceremonies that are held daily and weekly.
