CHICAGO: FIA Trustee Iftekhar Shareef and Aftab Baig hosted a glittering dinner reception to bid farewell to Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mohammad Mahmood Ali at Monty’s Banquets in Bensenville (a north side suburb of Chicago) last week that drew the attendance of a galaxy community and business leaders, eclipsed only by the hilarious slapstick performances by the visiting movie artists.

The Deputy Telangana CM was in New York and Chicago for a brief visit and FIA Trustee Iftekhar Shareef not only received him while landing in Chicago but was instrumental in hosting a number of meet and greets Dy CM events in Chicagoland

The Monty’ Banquet reception also featured bevy of rising movie artists –
Mast Ali aka Saleem Pheku, Aziz Naser”Jahangir” – from Hyderabad and they proved to be a big hit with all those attending the near three hours program with each artistic presentation greeted with the tumultuous applause and unbridled laughter.

The evening’s performances were applauded along with the entire ‘The Angrez ‘ movie team including Srivastava “Ismail Bhai, Model Feroz Khan, actress Dolly Tomar, actress Kavya Sharma and other artists who are currently shooting their new movie sequel “Hungama in Chicago” The movie is produced by Ms Uroosa Rahim of Chicago and directed by Syed Hussain of Hyderabad.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali thanked the host Iftekhar Shareef and all attendees gathered to bid him farewell. He especially extolled Chicago’s NRI community for their undying passion in being eager to lend partnership in investing and promoting the state of Telangana and pledged his support to the Indian Diaspora that seeks to strengthen ties with the state of Telangana.

The reception host Iftekhar Shareef talked highly about energetic Deputy CM Mahmood Ali who came to Chicago and New York to meet the NRI communities in back-to-back programs. He addressed a series of public meetings, community receptions and one-on-one meetings with business/ community leaders.

Shareef said Deputy CM’s visit to Chicago and New York opened up huge opportunities for NRIs to forge partnership with the state of Telangana and play a vital role as Telangana Ambassadors. He also thanked the Angrez movie team for their performances and praised their hefty cinematic contribution.

Keerthi Kumar Ravoori, FIA’s Trustee, in his remarks said under his able leadership Telangana is poised to register big growth and prosperity. Later the Trustees of FIA, community leaders including co-host Aftab Baig joined together to present a colorful traditional shawl and a floral bouquet. Among the prominent attendees include Dr. Muzzafer Mirza, Syed Iqbal, Sharafat, Mir Khan.

The entire event was filmed to be added into the upcoming feature film Naubahaar Team and the reception ended with a traditional Hyderabadi 11 course dinner.
