Dr. Vemuri S. Murthy, an alum nus of Guntur Medical College and the President of Global Resuscitation Consulting, is a well-recognized resuscitation expert and advocate of global health projects in USA, and internationally.
A veteran volunteer of the American Heart Association (AHA), Dr Murthy was presented with Life Time Achievement award during the Annual Gala Banquet of the organization on October 15 at Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, a Chicago suburb.
As an AHA representative, Dr. Murthy contributed to initiating AHA’s pilot project of “Saving Children’s Lives” in Gujarat, India and is currently working with governmental and non-governmental organizations to roll out various AHA-India projects.
Dr. Murthy, the current Chairman of the Chicago Medical Society (CMS) Council, is the founder of the public health project of Chicago Medical Society and Illinois State Medical Society, “Saving More Illinois Lives through Education” (SMILE), offering community CPR presentations.
