WomenNow presents ‘Spring India Day’

SID12-webSAN FRANCISCO, CA: For the second year running, WomenNow brought Spring India Day on the streets of America. It was a day-long event celebrating Indian culture and heritage in the heart of San Francisco. The event was opened by the prestigious Vice Mayor of Sausolito Jill James Hoffman.

The event was filled with breathtaking performances, unique shopping experiences and myriad flavors of mouthwatering food. It began with the National Anthems at 11:00 am and the celebrations continued till 6:00 pm. The event was free and it saw a whooping 30,000 attendees from diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Corporates like Air India, ZEE (& TV), Western Union, YUPP TV, Xfinity, Macy’s and other big names were associated with the event.

All of them got stupendous response and were glad to be a part of such a marvelous experience of India in America.

Air India gave away free two tickets to India as a prize. Zee TV (& TV) also had a lucky draw contest where they gave a beautifully decorated bicycle. Also there were raffles, photo booths, fashion shows with themes Tribal and Fusion and so much more.

WomenNow attempts to bring a slice of India by such events that rekindle bonds with family and educate the new generations about their heredity and identity. Spring India Day was conceptualized by Ena Sarkar, CEO of WomenNow, as she is passionate about India and bridging India with USA culturally. Her dream is to make India more available to the Diaspora in the Bay area. She wishes to inspire the community to come together and celebrate India with WomenNow.
