MUMBAI: Legendry director Yash Chopra’s statue was unveiled at the UTV STARS Walk and actress Rani Mukerji became very emotional at the event. Rani, who is reportedly in a relationship with Yashji’s elder son, filmmaker Aditya Chopra, could not hold back her tears at the event as the actress broke down while other spoke about Yashji candidly.

The statue was unveiled by Yashji’s wife Pamela Chopra and son Uday Chopra. Some of the other celebrities who were present at the unveiling were Shatrughan Sinha, Poonam Dhillon, Prem Chopra, Rani Mukerji and Parineeti Chopra. Shatrughan Sinha also referred to Rani Mukerji as Rani Chopra (an obvious direct hint to her much talked about relationship with Aditya Chopra) at the event. Needless to say Rani didn’t know how to react!

Many in the industry believe that Rani and Aditya have secretly tied the knot in 2012 and have kept mum about it. Whatever it is, Sinha’s blooper has just got people talking about the hush-hush affair of Bollywood once again.

“I would like to thank UTV for this. It’s a great moment for all the people who loved Yash uncle and the people who are associated with the family. We will all miss him,” a visibly teary-eyed Rani told reporters.

Chopra died on October 21 last year due to dengue. He was 80.
