Yoga Day events held in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO: The Consulate General of India, San Francisco, organized two programs June 16 to mark the International Day of Yoga, also known as Yoga Day.
The first program was held in partnership with Isha Foundation in San Francisco County Fair Building auditorium in the middle of Golden Gate Park. Over 150 people from diverse backgrounds attended the event and participated in the yoga session with great enthusiasm.IMG 20190628 WA0008

Welcoming the participants to the Yoga Day celebrations, Sanjay Panda, Consul General of India in San Francisco, highlighted worldwide momentum that Yoga is gathering in combating lifestyle-related diseases and said that yoga is a timeless gift from India to humanity.
The second program was held on a cruise around the Golden Gate bridge aboard the Royal Prince (Red and White Fleet Cruise) in the evening.
In addition, a Yoga Day program was also organized in Sacramento Capitol June 21 in association with the Art of Living local chapter.
